Makeme. Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Makeme. (“the app”) is made by Daniel Rimmer, United Kingdom.

The short version: the app collects no personal data. We have no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your phone
  • Your ideas, notes, content time, days off and streak are stored only on your device. We can't see them.
  • Videos you film are saved to your Photos library. The app only adds to Photos; it never reads your library.
Permissions the app asks for, and why
  • Camera and microphone: to film your video in the app.
  • Speech recognition: to turn what you say into text in your idea bank. Where your iPhone supports it, this happens on the device. Otherwise your audio is processed by Apple's speech recognition service under Apple's privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). We never receive it.
  • Alarms and notifications: to ring at your content time. These are scheduled on your device.
  • Photos (add only): to save your finished video.

You can change any of these at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Sharing

We don't sell, share or receive any of your data. When you choose to post a video, it goes to the app you choose, under that app's own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Delete the app to remove everything it stored. Videos in Photos stay until you delete them there.

Children

The app is not aimed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Purchases

If the app offers purchases, payment is handled by Apple. We don't receive your payment details.

Subscriptions

Payments and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Makeme. never sees your card details. To manage or cancel a subscription, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions.

Changes

If this changes (for example, if we add analytics), we'll update this page and the date above before the change ships.
